Scott # 1013 issued in 1952. This is a Mint DOG (Disturbed Original Gum) stamp with a 2024 PF graded certificate. The certificate reads: PF GRADED S 98 - UNUSED, OG - IT IS GENUINE, NEVER HINGED. THIS IS NOT ACCURATE!
This stamp has the strangest gum disturbance and I have never seen anything quite like it. I don't know if it happened before the certificate was issued and the Philatelic Foundation made a mistake in their grading or if it happened after the certificate was issued. I have tried to get good images of the back of this stamp at different angles with the light reflecting on it so you can see what the gum looks like.
Other than that gum this is a wonderfully centered stamp with beautiful perfs and excellent color. It really looks nice from the front!
