Scott # 288 issued in 1898. This is a mint previously hinged 5 cent blue or dark blue stamp from the Trans-Mississippi series depicting 'Fremont on Rocky Mountains'. The centering is very nice, the perfs are great and the image is crisp and clean. the gum is very nice with three light blemishes from previous hinging. This is a very good looking stamp.
